Official rules, terms and conditions

Eligibility
onefoto.org photography contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers.

Contest period
Submissions to the contest will be accepted from 12:01 a.m. Central Standard Time on the 1st of every month, to 11:59 p.m. CST on last day of the month. Any photos submitted outside the stated period will be considered for inclusion in the next months contest.

How to enter
To be considered for inclusion in the contest, submit up to three separate photos using the entry form. Photos submitted must be in JPEG format and be sized to no larger than 1,000 pixels on the longest side (files should also be 300K or smaller in size). Submissions must be genuine photographic images that have already been corrected, cropped and otherwise altered to the appearance and size ratio at which they will appear if selected for the premier. Images need not be originally digital, but they must be submitted in a digital format meeting the specifications outlined above. All submitted photos must be originals. Entrants must affirm that photographs are their original work and that they are the holder of the copyright or have the right to copyright any photos they submit.

Notification
Photographers whose work is selected to appear in the contest will be notified by e-mail within 48 hours.

Usage rights and indemnity
By completing and submitting the entry form, each entrant attests in connection with each photograph submitted as part of his or her entry that: he or she is the owner of the photograph; that the photograph is an original work; that he or she has all the necessary rights to the photograph; that the photograph does not defame or otherwise violate the rights of any third party; and that the photograph does not violate any federal, state or local laws or ordinances. Entrants agree to hold harmless onefoto, One World United, Inc., contest sponsors, their employees and affiliated organizations from any claim by any third party relating to their participation in the contest.

By participating in the contest, entrants agree to allow onefoto.org, One World United, Inc., to sell the photographs on the onefoto.org website. Profits from the sales will go towards a charitable organization. The decision on which charitable organization or project the money goes towards will be decided by the One World United, Inc. committee board. Payout will happen every month after calculations have been made. A 25% of the profit from sales will go towards to onefoto, One World United, Inc. in order to continue to operate and pay for the cost of running the web site.

Additional rules
By participating in the contest, entrants agree to be bound by the rules set forth herein, including all eligibility requirements and decisions of onefoto, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the contest. onefoto is not responsible for lost, late, damaged or misdirected entries; computer or network malfunctions or errors; or disruptions related to Internet traffic, viruses, bugs or worms. Persons found abusing any aspect of the selection process, or whom onefoto believes to be causing any malfunction, error, disruption or damage, may be disqualified from consideration for the contest. Further, onefoto reserves the right to disqualify any unauthorized entries.

Release of liability
By submitting an entry, entrants agree to hold oneofot, One World United, Inc., contest sponsors and all affiliated entities harmless from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind arising out of their participation in the contest. In addition, entrants agree that the above-mentioned entities are in no way responsible for any warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relating to the contest.
